About the Opportunity:
I'm hiring on behalf of a well-established general contractor with a strong track record in mission-critical construction. Their Data Center Division in Chicago is expanding, and they’re looking for an experienced MEP Coordinator to join their team.

This is a high-impact role on large-scale data center builds, with a strong emphasis on BIM modeling and coordination. You'll work closely with project teams and subcontractors to ensure all MEP systems are designed, coordinated, and delivered efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the coordination of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across all phases of construction

  • Lead BIM modeling and clash detection using tools like Navisworks and Revit

  • Collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure timely and accurate system integration

  • Conduct and lead coordination meetings with all stakeholders

  • Oversee and review MEP shop drawings and ensure alignment with the BIM model

  • Support procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning of all MEP systems

  • Track submittals, RFIs, and change orders related to MEP work

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • 5+ years of experience coordinating MEP systems, preferably on large-scale or mission-critical projects

  • Strong proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, and BIM coordination workflows

  • A background in mechanical or electrical engineering, construction management, or a related field

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across disciplines

  • Data center project experience is a strong plus

  • Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 DOE
